Tear Blind..

Whipped her head from side to side.. held her skirt and ran.. cross the alley.. down the street.. into cocain land.. said ‘dead dreams were laid aside’.. told her ‘I was glad’.. like a baby.. she will not leave old times she had..

Levi shorts.. long legs.. a sport.. felt good when she smiled.. not a word of last nights man.. or old phone numbers dialed.. sometimes lot of fun.. a passion.. heartbeat danced her head.. dancin’ with her daddy.. her daddy ten years dead..

Grape wine drunk.. her inner skunk would sneak with nightmare old.. lost in memory of real mixed stories heard and told.. quote of ancient thinkers.. silver tongue and knife.. a litany of ‘can’t be free.. or be a proper wife’..

Too hard mama.. life too short.. fate brings it around.. bad cards do not call the game.. still that cryin sound.. wailing loss.. first man in a girl’s life is her Dad.. you need not bear that silent cross.. to see you makes me glad..

Thought.. ‘yeah.. that old weight.. from years gone.. just a minute ago.. better take my time.. take it slow.. sure.. take those turns wide.. alright.. Peace Tony
