Cletus Brown

IT CAME SUDDENLY.. AS A COMMAND YET IT WAS MORE OF STRENGTH IN KNOWING.. WHAT MADE ME.. WHAT MADE ME GOOD..

IT CAME SUDDENLY.. AS A COMMAND YET IT WAS MORE OF STRENGTH IN KNOWING.. WHAT MADE ME.. WHAT MADE ME GOOD..

OD Murphy.. Cletus Brown.. round the neighborhood.. brothers from ‘the hills’ and it was understood.. had a little something.. felt in any ‘lack’.. present from the slavers.. tame the white enslave the black..

Equal when we born here.. color never seen.. equal children as we were.. prejudice obscene.. act out to discriminate.. way down in the mind.. culture clash I know it well.. must be slow.. and kind..

There is joy in this heart when young folks are free.. of the gift from slavers that enslaved both you and me.. all the little Hitlers.. yeah we call it right by name.. in story.. in my music sad.. I still sing of the game..

Final goal is freedom.. equal we always were.. free from imposed plans.. mistreated horse under the spur.. known when born of energy.. from somewhere up above.. travelers.. each with a gem.. born to the world of love..

Thought.. ‘Perhaps we are ‘tourists’ traveling from reality to place.. if this is true.. love is a wonderful passport to present.. to see’… Peace Tony

About cryinforthedyin

I write philosophy and poetry. I postulate solutions for problems..I find similiar things in history to compare to present day, hoping to find a solution to the seemingly difficult task of giving and receiving love. I play music. Blues harp, piano, guitar, electric and acoustic. I sing..I love to sing..Peace Tony
