Lumpjaw Blues..

‘Hit me with baseball bat.. twice.. once in the jaw.. come to steal my bull puppies.. grabbed Pancho by his paw’..

All along ‘Delusion St.. what you gonna do?.. ask for help from someone.. found a warrant from ’02’

Man said how sorry.. mistakes.. their second guess.. when poor boy hurt from livin’.. hide that poor boy mess..

Kind of world we live in.. sellouts bury shame.. for their purpose only.. convenience of their game..

Doors be closed or open.. folks be loud or wise.. floors with folks just gropin’.. need the truth.. no time for lies..

Knowing helps the pretty.. what comes to my life.. grow poor in the city.. hard to feed kids and the wife..

Fix the jaw learn what you saw.. bail young Pancho out.. keep it simple.. past is past.. smile.. no sorry pout..

A smile of true to offer.. share pretties you see.. rich folk on ‘Delusion St.’.. don’t think much of free..

Gonna make a place of true.. love gonna run free.. some things never are for sale.. from poor boys me..

Thought.. ‘they did not care he was beaten and robbed.. they cared about justifying their place and position.. at cost of a man’s dignity.. how does one forget to recognize the passing stranger as one who could be family?..

Peace Tony
