Shelley, Keats and Byron wrote of Springtime in the Fall.. Browning brought a world which cared.. Disraeli at a ball.. saw a world wondrous.. beyond a judge or stand.. music set a tempo.. for souls upon the land..
Trip romantic young man.. trip you girl of skirts.. go you old man dance you well.. beyond complaining hurts.. brought forth through wartimes.. brought relief at end.. brought a sunshine love-song.. each song sung a friend..
Brought hand of Bob Dylan.. pointing to the fault.. magic words spoke for peace.. songs how war must halt..
Donovan of Scotland wrote of visions met with song.. through joy of his senses brought what loved and sensed along.. beauty with respect.. beauty yellow of the corn.. beauty of the sky and Josie.. love song in the morn..
I was young when friends beginnings ends of games to share.. drama with my dream friends with a certain heart that cared.. fate came met with certainty all was good and kind.. hate came ancient men of ten years who had lost their minds.. long before a heartache touched them.. nothing meant that much.. expected friendship lost.. in drama hate and such..
Now time spent in the mirror every morning when I rise.. remembering that certain child.. the infant safe and wise.. lost and won.. dismal.. fun.. not a mystery.. when set against a heart of love.. through decades history..
Everything sensed in time.. every false and true.. could in respect stand.. respect to tell you true.. some of what is joy.. joy only.. some is painful weight.. I leave it true in love my friend.. right outside your gate..
All good games of science.. living games done from the heart.. tell me of your senses.. who you are.. your living art.. speak of what you do.. passions you share unto.. I will sing my song .. timely words I sing most true..
Thought for this day.. ‘I find surprised relief when reading analogies of poets in history. This morning I read an introduction to ‘The Selected Poems of Robert Browning‘ by Pierre Loving. The concerns and passions of Browning were portrayed as something that could be written of me.. most times in my life’.. Peace Tony
