Ancient Greece

Poet Disraeli captured romance in each poem.. honor bound was honor found his moments written.. roamed..

Hesse wrote of Acetic.. life seen in his land.. days of joy.. nights of dream.. good to understand..

Socrates of ancient times.. those of ancient Greece.. knew in heart.. sensed in mind.. the flowing good of peace..

Did you study history turn of century last?.. did you find a reason for the stones infamies cast?  Did you read of bravery on field of honor called..  money wars..  detail wrote of homeless.. killed or mauled..

Does an Irish song as well-known ‘Danny Boy‘ sing the storm of childish war fought just to destroy.. when carnage has its day.. all medals are won.. tears never stop flowing from those who lost a most loved one..

Faith found in Gandhi man of peace.. with his wife.. found enough to sustain his genius in this life..

History of mankind written.. in halls of learning read.. finds attention glue romantic who and why they bled..

Is peace so boring?.. is mankind hobbled lame?.. that only destruction justifies his sorry game?

Wolf howls at clouds a moonlit night.. beaver builds his dam.. a peaceful story told.. as the bleating of a lamb..

Thought for this day.. As seconds in real-time diminish the importance of centuries past.. seconds amounting to a year of peace would be the beginning of peaceful eons.. for mankind is lazy and war is hard work with no pay or gain of any kind..  Peace Tony
