Down to Yuma Prison

Sense of self kept on a shelf until eight years or so

Dense as moles on sunny days looking for a flow

Down around El Centro  Humid Yuma sun

Bend marks end of where the Colorado runs

Nothing green dripping wet dry adobe there

Prison set in bad example how folks never care

In a cell to North of prison man may sit straight

South cell got to crawl after going through cell gate

Hard to even think space hot man could not turn around

Governor excuse with man of God utters sounds

Neither man would sleep at night if Grandma made the rules

Woman gave purpose to wise men hope and trust to fools

Redefine in time has sense in a play

Make sure the ‘excuse monster’ lays dead just stays away

It travels all around our world  Announces in each mouth

Out the ‘Last Church of Excuse’ when reason goes South

No sign on my wagon tells work of any God

Play blues read all the news think while digging in the sod

Beauty looked for beauty found some days to create

Something to add.. learn again.. from a reasoned fate

Peace Tony

About cryinforthedyin

I write philosophy and poetry. I postulate solutions for problems..I find similiar things in history to compare to present day, hoping to find a solution to the seemingly difficult task of giving and receiving love. I play music. Blues harp, piano, guitar, electric and acoustic. I sing..I love to sing..Peace Tony
