Love Ball

So much in life.. what to do?..

Clear skies blue clear in mind just a child a life to find moving in the fifties show.. try to learn.. just to know.. there a promise and a threat.. catfish catching take my pet out to roam.. behind it all.. need to find

a love that calls..

Fathers of so many friends.. well-traveled all wars end.. grandpa old.. from war before.. learned stories of true and lore.. one day walking he came by.. silent his mind seemed to cry.. I asked questions of the need.. for true love..

in every breed..

He was old seemed very large.. knew him simply as ‘Old Sarge’ found a place in the shade.. his metaphor told touchdowns made..

‘You may travel you may not.. anchored to one small map dot.. where you are a need will call.. mine was in a dream football.  At a picnic I recall.. started tossing this old ball.. pretty woman you call mom.. passed it.. rolled right off her palm.’

‘When you grow you will meet.. tuxedo dudes prim and neat.. girls who walk in front of you.. sense your eyes.. you know it true.. one will be dead ahead.. not a dream or what was said..

in winter after fall.. she will throw you a love ball.  As a pro in the game.. grab the ball.. a catch is lame.. know it.. hold it to your heart.. cupid throws once your love dart’.

Mr. Dartboard found his luck.. woman through love dart it struck.. senses passion.. love as true.. aware to care.. a love for you.. call it softball.. call it hard.. basketball or in the cards..

love you feel.. make no mistake.. love cannot make a heartbreak..

It has happened to me.. still.. it is difficult to understand how a love can be entangled in past storied histories of no personal consequence.. a new story should be each for the other.. a love should be for what is loved.. Peace Tony
