Baggy Pants and Judgement

A record of Robert Johnson's Love In Vain Blue...

Hearing this record is an experience..just the wax..or vinyle

The only known photo of Robert Johnson..(so said in file)..composer of 'Hell Hounds on my Trail'..and 'Love in Vain' fitted that guitar..and spread the pain..

That is how remembered..walking down the road..Mr. Jones playes mean his pants a mean load..some say ‘he’s built funny’..some say ‘naw it’s peat’..Mr. Jones he dangerous man..Old Jonesy he packs heat..Down into the alleys..come down from the hills..went to bars and poolrooms..looking for them thrills..rough and tough and and then a frown..every one knew and looked for Mr. Jones in town..

Some say he was Josoph..some say he was Sam..but Mr. Jones had one name..that name was Candy Man..Eyes were always glassy..grunt and talking hip..had a Chopper in the shop..had a dog named Rip..Walked through town not clean not dirty..certainly a star..if you needed his product..just tell him where you are..He had a happy dance each stranger to bad news..but the world got soulful..when Jonesy played the blues..

A good man with a good song..just has to be full and happy..Peace Tony

Indeed it does seem that many musicians with oodles of talent have problems coping. No wonder though we you take into account the many different things that accompany being extremely talented and being recognized for it.

    Best Wishes to you Tony!

    • Thank you for the thoughts..I have known some must have been much different in the 20’s and 30’s for a young black man in the South..less complicated perhaps..but still..Peace Tony

  3. Yes..sometimes the stage false fates the in life the environment can kill a gentle adventurous soul even as creating music for an age..another bluesman was Sonny Boy Williamson..not Rice Miller..who did ‘Bring it on Home to You’..he was SBW 2..the first..another harp player stabbed to death with an ice pick..on his 21st birthday..Peace Tony

I saw a documentary on him awhile back. It seems that some of the best musicians in time have met a tragic end.
